“Thank you again, for a fantastic course — the three modules were the best CE I have ever received."
–Robyn Rodgers, DVM,

“This is my third CRI course. All three have been so informative and incredibly well put together. As a whole, you have phenomenal lecturers / instructors and TA’s. This has been the best CE I have ever been to ... and to be honest, better than the majority of my classes in vet school. Awesome program! Really creates enthusiasm in newbies like me. I am SO excited to do my internship and to start practicing. Thank you all SO much!"

The Canine Rehabilitation Therapist Certification is offered to Veterinarians and Physical Therapists.

CCRT candidates learn:

  • Canine anatomy and physiology
  • Conditions and injuries commonly referred for rehabilitation
  • Physical therapy assessment techniques
  • Manual therapy
  • Physical modalities and therapeutic exercise
  • The business of canine rehabilitation

Please note: After lengthy discussions with the CRI faculty and listening to the feedback from our graduates, we have made changes to our course curriculum to better accommodate the needs of our students. The most notable change is our decision to require attendance in the Canine Neurological Rehabilitation course for veterinarians and physical therapists pursuing the CCRT. We encourage all veterinarians and physical therapists to attend both Canine Neurological Rehabilitation and Canine Sports Medicine, and we recognize that some of our students have registered for the Canine Sports Medicine course with the understanding that it is a valid route to the CCRT. We will honor these registrations, simply encouraging all CCRT candidates to complete the Canine Neurological Rehabilitation course at their earliest convenience.

For any CCRT candidate registering for courses after January 1, 2012, the new required route will be: Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation, The Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and Canine Neurological Rehabilitation. The three courses must be taken in this order.

Once CCRT candidates have taken the three courses required for certification and successfully completed all exams, they participate in a 40-hour internship at a CRI-approved practice through the CRI Internship Program. We believe that an internship provides “real life” experience — an integral part of the training of the best practitioners.
